Introduction:

This edition of the Yamaha XS 400 L Maxim is the 6 speed / Manual version and was first brought out in 1982. This was at around the same time as the introduction of the 1982 Honda CB 750 SC Nighthawk and the 1983 Kawasaki KX 500 Single Cylinder.This particular Yamaha XS 400 has a 399cc Air cooled, Two stroke, Horizontal In-Line Petrol powerplant with 2 cylinders and Carburettor.
